Audi Group closes strong first quarter
Despite the quarter being marked by ongoing bottlenecks in semiconductor supply, war in Ukraine, and renewed lockdowns in China, the Audi Group is still reporting strong financial figures after the first three months of the year. As a result, the company has further strengthened its financial basis for its transformation towards e-mobility and digitalization. For the first time, the Bentley brand is also consolidated within the Audi Group. Revenues increased by two percent. The group generated the highest operating profit ever in a first quarter – driven by a strong price position, a disciplined approach to fixed costs, and support from the valuation of raw material hedges, operating profit for the first three months of the year grew to 3.5 billion euros. The partner companies want to turn the damaged auto glass into recyclable material for model production and have drawn up a multi-stage process for that purpose: using an innovative recycling process, the car windows are first broken into small pieces.

With the world confined indoors, Audi is offering a way to reconnect with house-bound Australians through the freedom of the open road. Together with partner social media agency We Are Social Australia, Audi Australia has created 'The Drive', a 4-hour long slow TV film that allows viewers to experience the soothing nature of a long road trip from the confines of their own home. 'The Drive' takes viewers on an immersive road journey through breathtaking Australian landscapes in an all-new Audi A6 Sedan. The film was shot in the NSW Central Tablelands by director Luke Bouchier at Finch, using multiple cameras to replicate the experience of driving the car, which the audience can enjoy from the comfort and safety of their own home. To enhance the mood of the drive, the film was scored by composer John Hassell, from his studio in Marseille, France, where he is currently in isolation.
