    Kiwis defend their Formula SAE-A crowns
    Two New Zealand universities will be the teams to beat at next month's Formula SAE-A competition at Calder Park in Melbourne, Australia.
    All eyes will be on the two teams which won outright last year – University of Auckland in the EV class and University of Waikato in the internal combustion (IC) class.

    Formula SAE-A returns to Calder
    Formula SAE-A returns to Calder Park from 14-17 December with an EV-dominated field, driverless car demonstrations and powerful backing from Australia's mobility engineering sector.
    Teams from five countries will show their engineering achievements at the 22nd running of the event, and electric vehicles dominate the field, with 25 of the 31 vehicles entered.

    SAE-A opens assessment applications for Professional Engineers Registration Scheme
    The Society of Automotive Engineers – Australasia (SAE-A) has opened assessment applications for Victoria's Professional Engineers Registration Scheme (PERS).
    SAE-A has been approved by the Business Licensing Authority (BLA) to conduct an assessment scheme in the area of mechanical engineering.

    New president and directors for SAE-A

    Three new directors have also joined the Board: Paul Nation, who has been elected Treasurer; Martha Oplopiadis; and Noi Vera. Dr Gary White is a Chartered Professional Engineer, a Fellow of Engineers Australia, and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
