Volkswagen has appointed Andrew Huenerbein, a six year veteran of its business, as the brand's new head of Network Development.
He replaces veteran David Stone, who left the industry last year.
"We have one of, if not the best, dealer networks in Australia because of what we have had to go through, especially in terms of supply, yet we are succeeding," Mr Huenerbein said.
"Working in this part of the business is inspiring."
Mr Huenerbein told the brand's National Dealer Business Meeting held in Sydney last week that priorities for the coming 12 months include "EV preparedness" ahead of the brand's array of 2024 electric vehicle releases, bringing corporate branding up to date and introducing "evolutionary" changes to dealership interior design.
