Volkswagen is launching its upgraded T-Roc range in August with significantly enhanced technology including standard Digital Cockpit, wireless charging and Travel Assist.
The popular sporting compact SUV also receives high-quality design changes including a sharpened exterior with new lighting signatures and, inside, a premium soft-touch dashboard with Nappa leather upholstery availability.
Brand Director of Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles Michal Szaniecki said the upgraded T-Roc "delivers a major technology upgrade – arriving with premium and sports design elements that compact SUV customers most desire."
"The T-Roc is a hit in Australia and this will be further bolstered by a range expansion that is more sporting and tech-focused than ever before."

It's joined by an 8.0-inch Digital Cockpit on Style, or a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro on R-Line and R, with additional configuration including navigation maps.
Ceramique headlining and "Deep Iron Grey" gloss inlays feature on Style, with black headlining and "Lava Stone Black" gloss inlays on R-Line and R.
An optional Beats audio system includes 6 speakers, a digital 8-channel amplifier, subwoofer and 300-watt total power output.
Travel Assist
The latest IQ.DRIVE incorporating Travel Assist is standard on every T-Roc.
Travel Assist is an intelligent co-pilot that keeps an eye on what is happening around you and increases driving comfort by supporting you in monotonous and tiring driving situations. This makes it the ideal travel companion, especially on long journeys.
The IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist can keep the vehicle lane positioned within the lane, control vehicle speed and take into account the distance to the traffic ahead, especially on the motorway and well-developed country roads.
In conjunction with the DSG transmission, you can drive relaxed through traffic jams and stop-and-go traffic.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Standard on every T-Roc, adaptive cruise control (ACC) is now more suitable for an urban environment.
In this instance the Lane Assist system is more relaxed, assisting to stay within the lane markings rather than maintain a constant position as the system can pursue in freeway conditions.
In a traffic jam, the T-Roc can automatically brake and start again.
Side Assist
Standard on every T-Roc, the lane change assistant Side Assist shows with an LED light in the exterior mirrors other vehicles in the blind spot or those vehicles driving 50 metres behind.
If you indicate to change lanes, the system calculates whether another vehicle could be dangerous due to its position and speed and if deemed necessary will draw attention to this by flashing noticeably.
If the driver continues to attempt a lane change, Lane Assist can apply corrective steering to help avoid a collision.
Rear Traffic Alert further monitors the traffic crossing behind the vehicle when reversing out of a parking space or manoeuvring.
Utilising the Side Assist radar sensors in the rear bumper the system warns the driver of an approaching vehicle and can also provide braking intervention if necessary to help avoid a collision.
Park Assist
Standard on every T-Roc, Park Assist can tell you whether or not a parking space is big enough just as you drive past – and park for you too.
You operate the accelerator and brake, watching the surrounding environment and the T-Roc does the rest.
Sensors scan suitable parking spaces (up to max. 40km/h). Parallel parking spaces must be at least the vehicle length plus 80cm manoeuvring distance and to leave the parking space, at least 25cm in front of and behind the vehicle is required. Perpendicular parking spaces must have at least 35cm on both sides of the vehicle.
