The Society of Automotive Engineers – Australasia (SAE-A), the Asia Pacific professional body for automotive and mobility engineering, has announced its new Board for 2019-20.
CEO and President Adrian Feeney is joined by automotive industry engineering professional Kin Cheong, heavy vehicle examiner Michael Waghorne and media consultant Greg Shoemark.
Mr Feeney said the new Board would guide SAE-A into an exciting new era in which its members represented the whole spectrum of mobility engineering.
"Our members are a remarkably diverse cohort of professionals from the electronic, energy, mobility planning and IT sectors as well as the automotive and transport sectors," he said.
"When we look at trends such as autonomous vehicles and electric drivetrains, we find our members are right there at the cutting edge.
"Even though Australia is no longer involved in mass production of cars, we retain our leadership in innovative technologies that will create the future of mobility globally."
