One of the longest standing and most prestigious design awards -- the Australian International Design Award -- has announced both the CITROËN DS3 and CITROËN DS5 as one of their finalists for 2013. Contending in the automotive and transport design category, both DS cars were clear finalist thanks to their unique design, style and sophistication.
The CITROËN DS3 is an assertive vehicle with radical good looks that customers can personalise with a broad range of styling components. A breath of fresh air and modernity, the dynamic on-road performance successfully blends efficiency and sportiness, while the intelligence of its design makes for a modular car that adapts to all situations.
The CITROËN DS5 hatchback, the flagship of CITROËN's premium DS range, is a sophisticated large car with real quality and an individual sense of style. With intelligent design that transcends the usual compromises between driving pleasure and shared well-being, and with a uniquely styled cabin inspired by the world of aviation, the DS5 is a car that truly delivers on the promise of exterior singularity and superior road handing.
The Australian International Design Award jury consists of leading design experts in the fields of industrial design, engineering, architecture, software and electronics design, service design, design strategy and communications design. Behind closed doors, the Jury closely inspect each and every entry and evaluate them according to the assessment criteria. Each jury member is selected based on their area of expertise and their ability to bring an individual perspective to the evaluation process.
The overall winners in all categories will be announced at the 2013 Australian International Design Awards Presentation Ceremony on May 30 in Sydney.
