The Swedes are renowned for their generous hospitality and sense of style, and
this weekend a number of Adelaideans will experience it first hand at the Clipsal
500 courtesy of V8s Supercars sponsor, Volvo Car Australia.
Swedish car maker Volvo is saying 'Valkommen' - Swedish for welcome – to
hundreds of invited Clipsal guests at an exclusive facility that epitomises
Swedish style and hospitality.
In a first for Clipsal, Volvo has designed a family-friendly hospitality experience in
a parkland setting featuring a unique trackside viewing platform and a kids' zone.
Whilst taking in the sights and sounds of Clipsal, Volvo's guests will enjoy top
class food prepared by renowned Australian chef and Volvo ambassador, Luke
Mangan. Their children will enjoy fun-filled activities in the kids' zone under the
watchful eye of a Swedish au pair/nanny.
"When the Swedes wish to welcome someone and make their visit memorable,
they say 'Valkommen'" says Volvo's Managing Director, Kevin McCann.
"This year we're saying 'Valkommen' in a unique way by offering our Clipsal
guests a family-friendly taste of Swedish hospitality and style in a very different
setting. We are thrilled that Luke has developed a fantastic menu for our guests,
and will be at Clipsal for the first time on Saturday."
During the weekend Volvo drivers Scott McLaughlin and James Moffatt will drop
by the Volvo facility in between preparation for the big race on Sunday.
Six lucky families who won tickets on radio FIVEaa will also receive a special
'Valkommen' from Volvo during the weekend.
