The new and highly desirable Volvo C70 Convertible has gained a starring role in Channel 10's hot new series Above the Law.
Centreing on the lives of the people living in 'The Metro', a converted warehouse now housing a block of trendy loft apartments in the inner city, Above the Law is an exciting
character-based drama which will air early in 2000.
The Australian series features the stylish and sexy new Volvo C70 Convertible cruising through inner city streets, driven by actor Nicholas Bishop who plays the role of an enterprising young
restaurateur.
Nicholas is one of eight main characters in the series, which also stars Alyssa Jane Cook (E Street), Scott Burgess (Water Rats) and Kristy Wright (Home and Away). The show differs from other
Australian dramas by focusing intensely on the complex group of characters who live in the small community around 'The Metro'.
"We wanted a car that represented what real people aspire to own and the C70 Convertible is just that – it's a fantastic-looking car with superior performance, and everything you could
expect from a European luxury car, " said Executive Producer, Hal McElroy.
Previewed today at Watsons Bay in the lead up to the Sydney Motor Show, the C70 Convertible is the ultimate car to drive, featuring a state-of-the-art Dolby Surround Pro Logic System, luxurious
interior fittings, and a roof that raises and lowers in 25 seconds. This car will be the envy of all those who live Above the Law.
The series will screen an initial 22 episodes in Australia. International distribution through Columbia Tristar means that viewers around the world will be able to see the C70 Convertible make
its Australian television debut.
