Volvo Polestar Racing driver Scott McLaughlin is keen to repeat his 2014 performance at the Phillip Island Super Sprint this weekend.

"We won two races here last year and I really think we can do it again. We have had a few poles this year and now we need to capitalise on making a good start and winning the race," said McLaughlin.

The fast and challenging Phillip Island circuit has proven to suit the Volvo S60, with McLaughlin claiming a pole and two out of three victories in 2014.

"The Volvo is the probably the best car I have ever driven there or at any track. So, heading there with the most confidence ahead of a weekend all year. It is important to build on for next year and I think this is where we can start that," said McLaughlin.

With two remaining race weekends left in the 2015 V8 Supercars Championship, David Wall is looking to secure a strong result this weekend.

"This is a fast and flowing track that rewards you in some areas but can punish you in others. Car balance is as always critical. I'm looking forward to getting there in car 34 and see what we can make of it. We have two rounds left to try and get the team on our side of the garage a result that we are all happy with," said Wall.

The Phillip Island 400 weekend starts on Friday with two practice sessions, followed by qualifying and the first two races on Saturday and a final race on Sunday.
