Subaru Australia is pleased to confirm the brand's first battery electric vehicle, the Subaru Solterra, has achieved a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.
This achievement is a continuation of Subaru Corporation's commitment to safety; one that is embedded in the brand's DNA and overall design philosophy, underpinned by Subaru's unique Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system and advanced safety technologies with a range of cutting-edge future innovations.

Subaru Corporation's most important safety vision yet, working towards zero fatal road accidents in a Subaru vehicle by the year 20301 , is underpinned by the four vital safety pillars of Primary, Active, Preventative and Protective safety that work together to achieve Subaru's ‘All-Around' approach.
The Subaru Solterra is equipped with Subaru Safety Sense, a preventative safety system that provides, Pre-Collision System, Emergency Steering Assist, Emergency Driving Stop System, Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Low-speed Acceleration Suppression, Road Sign Assist and Speed Limiter.
Both Solterra variants are also equipped with the innovative Driver Monitoring System2 and Vision Assist which includes, Adaptive High-Beam System, Blind Sport Monitor (BSM), Front Parking Sensors, Parking Support Brake, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear parking sensors, Safe Exit Assist and Panoramic 360 Degree View Monitor.
