Following two successful seasons, Subaru Australia’s much-loved television series, Great Australian Detour, will this weekend return to screens across the country for a third season.
Airing on Channel 9 from this Saturday 1st of June at 12:30pm, season three of Subaru’s Great Australian Detour continues the television series’ goal to inspire Australians to explore their own backyard and showcase life is not about the destination but rather the moments shared, and memories created along the way.
While the previous two seasons focused on taking the long way, this season has a fresh focus on urban accessible detours highlighting short trips easily reachable from major Australian cities. Viewers will discover that a detour does not have to mean a long road trip, it can be an hour-long day trip from their hometown.
The third season of Subaru’s Great Australian Detour features the latest Subaru models, including the all-new Crosstrek and Impreza. Viewers can also look forward to a performance-focused episode featuring the WRX tS and BRZ tS with special guest, Subaru Australia Ambassador and Rally Champion, Molly Taylor.
Additionally, season three will also include a special towing episode to Outback NSW, in collaboration with Jayco, which will feature all three of Subaru’s SUV models in Australia – Outback, Forester and Crosstrek paired with a Jayco caravan.
Returning to host the series is Subaru Australia Ambassador, Andrew Daddo, joined by new co-host Maddie Russell who adds a fresh and energetic twist to the series. Special guest appearances this season also include Subaru Australia Ambassadors Courtney Atkinson and Cameron Merchant, who each bring their unique perspective and adventures to the show.

For instance, the Scenic Rim Region, located just a 90-minute drive from the Gold Coast, offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in Australia.”
