The increasing popularity of outdoor adventure activities, such as hiking, rock climbing, mountain and dirt bike riding as well as kayaking and the like, has prompted Projecta to develop a new range of innovative portable charging and power solutions equipment.
The new COMPAC Series of fast chargers and solar panels is designed to provide efficient, reliable and convenient power supply for a variety of equipment such as smart phones, drones, laptops and GoPros.
While the power banks and personal folding panels work well as standalone items, when both product lines are combined, the complementary performance can potentially provide users with constant access to portable power.
Personal Folding Solar Panels
Featuring a slim-line design that incorporates monocrystalline technology for extremely efficient solar charging, the Projecta COMPAC Series Personal Folding Solar Panels are also available in two extremely portable models.
The range begins with the PP10 which efficiently provides a direct charge for smart watches, phones, GoPros and the like, via its 1.6A port and included 3-in-1 charging cable. This unit weighs only 300 grams and when folded measures just 270 x 170 x 10mm, making it easy to store in a backpack.
For even greater versatility, the larger PP15 Personal Folding Solar Panel, features its own in-built power bank allowing the user to enjoy their outdoor activities, knowing that when they get back to base, they will have power in store to charge their various devices and equipment.
Typically it takes between six to eight hours for the integrated power bank in the PP15 to fully charge. Once ready it will rapidly charge phones, smart watches, action cameras and drones using the included micro USB and USB-C connectivity in the 3-in-1 charging cable.
The power bank lithium-ion battery in the PP15 has 6000 mAh capacity, meaning it stores sufficient power to recharge most of the mentioned equipment multiple times.
The three fast charge 3.0A (5V) USB, Lighting™ and USB-C ports also allows for simultaneous charging of multiple devices (at 3.0A combined output) if required and like the smaller PP10, the PP15 can directly charge equipment as well.
Despite its impressive charging capabilities, the PP15 is also light and compact, tipping the scales at only 505 grams and measuring 270 x 160 x 20mm when folded making it easy to transport.
For durability in demanding conditions, the Personal Folding Solar Panels boast high temperature treated panels that are resistant to damage from heat, while the units also benefit from short circuit and surge protection.
For secure mounting to a range of surfaces making best use of the available sunlight, the folding solar panels also come with carabiners, allowing them to be easily fastened in preparation for charging.
Projecta's new COMPAC Series Rapid Charge Personal Folding Solar Panels can be purchased at all leading transport, automotive, four wheel drive and outdoor stores throughout Australia at approximately $99.00 for the PP10 and $189.00 for the PP15 model.
