All BlueHDi engine options incorporate SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) upstream of the additivated DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). They also meet the Euro6 standard with the most effective pollution control technology on the market.
Their 22.4L AdBlue tank allows for a maximum range of 15,000 km. AdBlue is filled up easily using the exterior filling flap, located in the middle pillar, which is invisible when the driver's door is closed.
The Peugeot Expert benefits from competitive usage costs, in particular thanks to its best in class fuel consumption and its 20,000 km, 12 month scheduled servicing intervals.
TRANSMISSION/S
MANUAL
Select Peugeot Expert will be fitted with Peugeot's proven BVM6, six-speed manual transmission. To protect the gearbox, reverse is fitted with a lock-out function released by lifting a collar around the gearshift.
AUTOMATIC
This diesel engine is coupled to an EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox, designed and developed in collaboration with Aisin AW. The EAT6 provides quick and easy gear changing thanks to its Quickshift technology. This enables more controlled and user-friendly driving in all conditions.
Its efficiency is almost the same as for a manual gearbox due to reduced internal friction and the use of torque converters to avoid transmission slip.
This produces in CO2 emissions and fuel economy comparable to those achieved with the best manual gearboxes.
Such is the flexibility of the gearbox, that it is fitted in many model across the Peugeot range including the 208, 308 passenger cars, along with the 2008, 3008 and 5008 SUVs across numerous engine specifications.
PEUGEOT'S EMP2 PLATFORM PROVIDES SOLID FOUNDATION
Peugeot's highly awarded and flexible EMP2 platform architecture provides the ideal foundation for PSA's next generation of LCVs.
Underpinning dual European Car of The Year award winners, in the form of the 308 passenger vehicle and 3008 SUV, PSA's Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2) afforded engineers and designers the flexibility to deliver three body lengths from the one design – two of which will be offered in Australia.
For all the models built on the platform, the EMP2 provides a common-core base featuring the Group's highest standards while offering numerous possibilities in terms of combinations of varied styles.
Among the 116 technological innovations for which a patent was filed, the main advances of the EMP2 platform include:
- A minimum weight reduction of 100kg over previous generation LCV thanks to innovative lighter materials;
- A 22% reduction in CO2 emissions through the combination of several clean techs (SCR in particular)
- A visible move upmarket with the combination of a number of technologies that enhance driving comfort (notably driver assistance systems), travelling well-being and vehicle safety.
"The EMP2 platform, tailored to the constraints of a utility vehicle, again demonstrates its efficiency and modularity with the Peugeot Expert." Rémi Seimpere, Peugeot Expert Vehicle Base Chief Engineer
Specifically for Expert, the architecture of the front end, in particular the centre-to-centre distance and height of the roof, along with the geometry of the front suspension permit integration of a variety of drivetrains.
The main elements of their environment, whose quality and performance have already been proven, are also used such as the cooling panel, air supply, exhaust downpipe and electrical architecture.
Its new platform makes it possible to achieve weight of between 100 kg and 150 kg lighter, depending on the engine options, compared with the last generation Peugeot Expert. The combination of this
Today the EMP2 covers 50% of Group production. In partnership with Dongfeng Motors, PSA is working in parallel on a new global platform: the Common Modular Platform (CMP) for compact models and city cars
FORM OR FUNCTION NO TRADE OFF FOR PEUGEOT EXPERT
"The new Peugeot Expert platform has enabled us to offer superb proportions and to inject the stylish features of the brand's passenger cars, with the robustness expected of a utility vehicle." Keith Ryder, Peugeot Expert Design Manager
The Peugeot Expert reinterprets features in the segment. Proportions are well balanced between the front end, the driver position and the loading space.
The compact overhangs and wheels positioned at the four corners give it a powerful presence and suggest its manoeuvrability and optimal use of the internal space. The sleek lines enhance its aerodynamic flow and the modernity of its body shape.
The short, high bonnet sits above the wide, enveloping and protective bumper, tailored to the daily needs of professionals operating in a demanding environment.
From the very first glance, you can see that the Peugeot Expert belongs to the Peugeot range. The headlights mounted flush with the bodywork evoke the Peugeot 308 compact saloon.
The new elevated vertical grille introduced by the Peugeot 2008 SUV, accentuates the Peugeot Expert's presence. The grille features the lion in the centre of a new dynamic, three-dimensional embodiment, instead of the usual horizontal blades. Its trapezoidal Sparkling Grey edging with slight scalp motion in the upper corners accentuates the elegance and modernity of the front end.
The sleekly designed side panels are structured with sharp lines and sculpted by concave door sills, which enhance the impressiveness of the smooth wheel arches extending out from them.
From the side, the pronounced side protection mouldings and the solid black front bumper, that integrates air inlets across the entire width of the car, emphasises the robust look of the Peugeot Expert.
The front bumper houses the LED light signature, integrated with chrome-plated boomerangs, alludes to the Peugeot 508 grand touring car.

The standard three-seat bench with Moduwork partition offers modularity options not available elsewhere in the van segment. The large hatch built into the partition and the side seat cushion, which can be fully folded away, allows for:
- Three people to sit in the front. This practical aspect is very popular with professionals, who can transport their employees and tools from one worksite to the next while making the most of each journey;
- A flat floor with increased useful length of 1.16 m, or extra volume in front, and two passengers on board;
- A mobile office function thanks to its horizontal rack built into the folding backrest of the middle seat;
- Storage space under the middle seat.
EXPERT AT INTERIOR SPACE, MANOEUVRABILITY AND SAFETY
The modular platform of the new Peugeot Expert achieves its two lengths with just:
- one wheelbase at 3.27 m common to the Standard and Long versions;
- two 0.80m and 1.15 m rear overhangs, one common to the standard versions, the other specific to the long version;
- A single chassis architecture: ground links, exhaust line and fuel system common to both body lengths.
The optimised 0.88 m front and 0.80 m rear overhangs and a passenger vehicle like turning circle of 11.3m assist the Peugeot Expert's handling, in particular in cities or when manoeuvring.
Its height limited to 1.90 m also guarantees its accessibility to city-centre car parks and shopping areas, as well as customers' homes.
The new Peugeot Expert is fitted with non-removable passenger compartment partition (in accordance with current European regulations) allowing for greater thermal comfort and reduced noise.
In relation to safety, in addition to its new active safety equipment, the Peugeot Expert was awarded five stars in Euro NCAP tests published in December 2015.
PEUGEOT EXPERT TO HANDLE ALL LOADS IN COMFORT
On board, the Peugeot Expert also revolutionises the segment's features improving ergonomics and driving comfort. The entry step provides easy access to its elevated seating position, which dominates the road.
The instrument panel and steering wheel in relatively vertical position for the segment, immerses the driver in an environment somewhere between an SUV for the commanding position and the saloon for comfort.
The pure and modern design of the driver position combines robust materials and the ergonomics of the controls, like the touch-screen available as an option which is always easy to reach and see.
Ensuring the Expert makes full use of its all-new platform, the vehicle adopts the Pseudo MacPherson front suspension from the EMP2 platform adapted to the vehicle's dimensions to ensure high-end dynamic capabilities.
The electrohydraulic-assisted steering combined with the anti-roll bar position in front of the steering rack optimises the turning circle. It provides a little assistance for parking manoeuvres yet gives the driver confidence when on the road – laden or unladen.
The new oblique wishbone rear suspension supports a payload of up to 1,300 kg to make the most of the load volume of up to 6.6 m3. The wishbone filtering dampens the impacts. The variable stiffness springs and shock absorbers, which have been tuned for various load ratings, guarantee maximum comfort whether the vehicle is laden or unladen.
Combining these two suspension systems affords a balance between handling and comfort and the best possible driving enjoyment regardless of the vehicle's load.
To complement passenger and driver comfort, the acoustic aspect has not been forgotten. The Peugeot Expert offers a best-in-class level of acoustic comfort across the entire range.
PEUGOET LCV IS PRACTICALLY EXPERT IN EASE OF USE
To facilitate loading, all variants are fitted with 50/50 barn doors as standard which can open to 180° to avoid blocking the road when loading and unloading without interfering with the opening of the sliding side doors.
Side, sliding doors are standard to both sides of the vehicle allowing for greater flexibility, accessibility and use when in confined parking spaces or access areas.
The rear load area features a body coloured floor with up to 8 load hooks, various protective measures can be employed as part of Peugeot Genuine Accessories and include rubberised floor mats as an example.
For professionals who need additional loading capacity, the new Peugeot Expert can tow up to 2.2 tonnes with a distributed load or "load transfer". It is therefore designed to be fitted with a tow bar as an option. The van can be fitted with a single-piece tow bar with various removable hooks.

- 2 cup holders on either side of the dashboard both accommodating a 0.5 l bottle;
- Key trays in the centre of the dashboard and on the passenger side;
- In each front door, a storage compartment and a large 8-litre door tray can contain two 1.5 l bottles;
- A large 8-litre storage compartment beneath the front two-seat passenger bench can hold work boots and a hard hat, for instance;
Jack, 12V and USB sockets in the lower glove compartment can be used to charge mobile devices.
Connectors to house a digital tablet up to 11'' within reach or a smartphone with built-in supply are available as accessories.
PEUGEOT VANS ARE EXPERT AT CONNECTIVITY
Peugeot's all-new Expert is the perfect side-kick for the modern tradesperson with functions such as Mirror Screen standard.
The Mirror Screen function displays a copy of the driver's smartphone screen on the vehicle's touchscreen for easy app access and is compatible with Android MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlayTM (for iPhone 5 and later).
Pressing a button on the steering wheel activates smartphone voice recognition (Android S-Voice or Apple Siri) so drivers can keep their eyes on the road while safely placing calls, selecting music, reading and sending text messages or requesting an itinerary.
All the services dedicated to simplifying journeys and driving are all here. Simply touch the screen lightly with your finger or use voice control.
Voice recognition provides additional ease of use for Navigation, Telephone and Media features without taking your eyes off the road.
PEUGEOT EXPERT EXTENDS WORKPLACE SAFETY TO ROAD
For the first time ever in the segment, Peugeot has standardised a broad suite of driver support and safety equipment headlined by;
- First to market fitment of Active Safety Brake and Blind-Spot Monitoring as standard on an LCV
- Standard fitment of Adaptive Cruise Control with Distance Alert, Speed sign recognition and recommendation,
- The advanced modularity of the passenger space with Moduwork, the head-up display and sign reading system with speed limiter recommendation are unique in the segment;
The Active Safety Brake is a new generation of automatic emergency braking system. The camera and the radar detect the imminent collision with any moving or stationary obstacle. In this case, if the driver fails to brake or does not brake enough, the system applies maximum braking instead of the driver. It helps to avoid the impact (up to 30 km/h) or reduce its consequences whatever the vehicle's speed with deceleration up to 1 g.
The Distance Alert warns the driver of an imminent risk of collision to make him react. This visual and audible warning occurs just before the Active Safety Brake is activated;
The Adaptive Cruise Control is a cruise control/speed limiter system with extended regulation function in relation to the distance from the vehicle in front. This function is particularly suitable for motorway driving conditions in moderately heavy or fluid traffic avoiding systematic disconnection of the cruise control every time a vehicle is in front.
Effectively, as soon as the radar detects a vehicle, a constant space is maintained by automatically reducing the vehicle's speed up to 20 km/h via the engine brake by activating the accelerator. When the lane is free, the cruise control resumes the speed initially requested. If deceleration of 20 km/h is not enough to maintain this space, the cruise control alerts the driver and gives control of the speed back to the driver;
The Road Sign Reading and Speed Limit Recommendation system recognises speed limit signs and alerts the driver of this limit on the instrument panel. The speed read is suggested to the driver as the setpoint value for his speed limiter or cruise control. The driver can accept this suggestion, in just 2 presses. One press for selection and one for confirmation effectively prevents any unintentional action;
Blind Spot Monitoring, standard on all Expert variants, alerts the driver of the presence of a vehicle in the adjacent right or left-hand lane in his blind spot and is complimented by the standard fitment of VisioPark 1.
VisioPark 1 includes an all-new 180° overhead view of the rear zone of the vehicle and its environment via the standard reverse camera. The image is created by the reversing camera as the vehicle reverses. The rear view includes guide lines that rotate with the steering wheel.
As soon as an obstacle is detected, the automatic zoom feature above the rear zone is used to view the distance from it. Reversing manoeuvres and the vehicle's alignment with parking space lines and obstacles are therefore made easy and the vehicle's integrity is secured.
The Driving time warning system, as standard, alerts the driver after 2 hours of uninterrupted driving at a speed of 65 km/h or above. A warning light accompanied with a "Think to take a break" message reminds him of this on the instrument panel.
The Driver Attention Alert measures the vehicle's swaying via the camera and steering wheel angle sensor. A visual and audible alert forces the driver to pay better attention;
Automatic high beam switching enabled at night automatically switches the headlights from high beam to dipped beam and vice-versa depending on other vehicles detected by the camera.
