Peugeot's all new Expert range has won not one but two of the highest accolades in Drive.com.au latest Commercial Vehicle (LCV) of the Year awards.
Named the 'Best Medium-Sized Van' and the 'Best Overall LCV for 2019', the all-new Peugeot Expert beat out its contemporaries from Japanese, Korean and European marques in the 'Best Medium-Sized Van' category before sweeping all seven categories and 19 finalists to take out the overall '2019 Commercial Vehicle of the Year' award.
The Drive judging panel singled-out the Peugeot Expert's high levels of safety equipment, practicality and car-like driving traits as key differentiators against its competition.
"It's [Peugeot Expert] simply a more resolved end result and will appeal to those who actually enjoy driving, as well as those forced to spend time behind the wheel as part of earning a crust," Drive editor-in-Chief Andrew Maclean said.
"But, more than anything, it comes equipped as standard with a comprehensive suite of active safety features including autonomous emergency braking, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, a reverse camera, speed sign recognition and driver-attention alert – features that were exclusive to luxurious high-end limousines just a few years ago," Mr Maclean added.
Commenting on the awards, Ben Farlow, Managing Director of Peugeot Australia, said the all-new Expert is but another example of award-winning product from Peugeot offering a new, fresh take on the segment and prioritising safety for those who arguably need it most.
The all-new Peugeot Expert, which launched in Australia in April, features a high level of safety and segment-first or class-leading features, particularly:
