AUSTRALIA'S biggest American vehicle importer, Performax International, has launched the first caravan in its luxurious Crossroads RV range of travel trailers.
The Crossroads RV Sunset Trail, built in Indiana in the United States, features a slide-out lounge and dining section and at 9.1 metres is one of the biggest caravans for sale in Australia.
The combination of its length and the slide-out section makes the Sunset Trail an exceptionally spacious home-away-from-home.
With a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 3.5 tonnes, it can be towed by large four-wheel drives such as the Toyota LandCruiser.
The Sunset Trail boasts many outstanding features in line with the latest US design ideas.
Instead of aluminium, the body is body is built of fibreglass which is smooth, easy to clean, tough and durable.
The roof is finished with a rubber outer layer, which is quiet in the rain and hail-resistant.
Other exterior features include fully-enclosed gas bottles, a rear-mounted spare wheel, extra-large storage bay and front and rear stabiliser jacks.
The Sunset Trail rolls on heavy-duty, dual-axle Australian suspension and alloy wheels.

The toilet and shower are separate and the slide-out living area includes a dinette booth and sofa.
Built into cabinetry finished with solid-grain oak doors are a three-way full-size refrigerator-freezer, microwave oven, a conventional oven-grill with rangehood, reverse-cycle air conditioning, surround-sound home-theatre system and generous storage.
