Operators are praising NARVA's newly released Geomax strobes as a range of heavy-duty Class 1 and Class 2 L.E.Ds strobes that promise superior performance in the harshest applications and conditions of mining, construction, contracting and agriculture.
Several technicians and supervisors servicing fleets in West Australian mining sites have fitted Geomax strobes to vehicles and machinery since they were released, noting their satisfaction with the performance and reliability of the heavy duty strobes.
"We have had the Geomax strobes in operation fitted on a Frenna Crane and these strobes have not missed a beat." said Jeff Pode from Alcoa's Willowdale mine. Chris Howard, Senior Garage Technician from Alcoa's Wagerup Refinery echoed this, stating he was more than happy with the performance and quality of the Geomax beacon. Craig Davidson of Rio Tinto's Marandoo Iron Ore site also reported a positive testing experience: "After a couple of weeks testing, I am very happy with the Geomax strobes" said Davidson.
NARVA's superior engineering, extensive field and exhaustive laboratory testing at conditions five times more rigorous than standard practice, has allowed Geomax strobes to be considered a high end market leader when it comes to reliability and performance.
Backed up by built-to-last credentials, the IP69K certified strobes can be pressure washed or steam cleaned. They have been tested to three vibration standards: IEC 60068-2-64 and IEC 60068-2-80 as well as military vibration standard MIL-STD-810G.514.6. With a compact design made from die-cast aluminium bases and virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lenses, Geomax strobes also incorporate reverse polarity and transient current protection to ensure reliable operation.
One of NARVA's gruelling torture tests required the strobes to endure 1.2 million switch cycles and run twenty-four-hours-a-day for three months. It should come as no surprise then that Matt and Shane, both supervisors from FMG's Solomon Hub praised Geomax as a "Great strobe that does everything it's supposed to and doesn't stop." Light vehicle supervisors at Paraburdoo Mine Site shared similar experience, claiming to have fitted Geomax strobes to their skid steers and that "they have been faultless".
But NARVA's Geomax strobes aren't just robust. Both Class 1 (Part no. 85250A) and Class 2 (Part no. 85252A) feature six flash patterns: rotating, single flash, plus quint flash, ultra-flash, single flash and steady on, with the ability to synchronise multiple units for a crisp and uniform flash pattern on the vehicle. Other clever touches include ambient light sensors for day/night switching and high or low power mode override, ensuring optimal light for the working environment so that visibility is not negatively impacted. NARVA says night mode will reduce light output to 20 per cent of maximum intensity, whilst the Geomax range has achieved class 3 CISPR 25 ratings for electrical interference, ensuring silent operation and no radio interference for operator comfort.
NARVA reports three new colour variants are on their way to provide various industries with access to these heavy-duty strobes: amber with clear lens, green and blue.
