Following strong market acceptance of its initial 'Geomax' Heavy Duty L.E.D Strobe Beacon lights in 2019, Narva has added to the popular line-up, introducing additional lens colour variants.
Originally only available with amber lenses, the latest release sees the addition of amber/clear, blue and green options, meaning they can now be used for forestry and emergency service work as well as for construction, mining and roadside assistance applications.
For superior performance and compliance, the Narva Geomax lamps have Class 1 and Class 2 approved rotating patterns, providing high levels of brightness as required by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) standards*. The lights also reach Class 1 and 2 respectively for their single flash pattern.
Along with the two rotating patterns, they also feature four flash patterns options (quint flash, ultra-flash, single flash and steady on), making the Geomax range extremely versatile.
An additional benefit of the Geomax beacons is that multiple units can be synchronised to maintain a crisp and uniform flash pattern on the vehicle(s) that they're fitted to.
Providing added flexibility, the Geomax beacons feature ambient light sensors that automatically adjust for day/night operation along with manual override. This allows light adjustment to suit the working environment, which is particularly useful when operating in confined or underground spaces where a high concentration of light can impact visibility. The night mode reduces light output to 20 per cent of maximum intensity.
Another benefit of the range is its class 3 CISPR 25 ratings for electrical interference, ensuring silent operation and no radio interference for a more comfortable working environment.
To ensure durability across a range of demanding applications, the Geomax beacons feature a tough die-cast aluminium base and virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lenses, while their compact design of only 91mm H by 125mm W, makes them easy to fit to a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Also adding to the beacons' durability is a reverse polarity design, transient current protecting and IP67 and IP69K ratings for water and dust ingress, which allow the lights to be cleaned using heated pressure washers (up to 80°C).
Extensive vibration testing has also been applied to the range, with the lights reaching demanding IEC 60068-2-64 and IEC 60068-2-80 standards as well as the military vibration standard: MIL-STD-810G.514.6.
To ensure that the Geomax beacons are fit for task, they were also subjected to extensive real-world testing in development including use at several mine sites around the country with no failures reported.
Narva Geomax L.E.D Strobe Beacons can also be used in conjunction with Narva utility bars (available at additional cost), allowing them to be customised and integrated with equipment such as flood beam work lamps, reverse alarms, directional indicators and stop/taillights.
Narva's expanded range of 12-80V Geomax Heavy Duty Strobe Beacons are supported by a generous warranty including 5 years coverage on L.E.Ds. The new lights can be purchased from leading transport, logistics and construction equipment outlets nation-wide.
