The filler pipe features a split construction used for the neck (threaded) portion, reducing pipe body thickness, saving around 100 g.

Fuel tank capacity is reduced from 65 to 60 litres, reducing weight by about 0.9 kg. The fuel tank bottom protector surface is lowered and enlarged, and the shape of its connection to the rear under cover optimized, improving underfloor aerodynamics.

FUEL PUMP

The fuel pump is a high-efficiency, power-saving type, improving fuel economy.

TRANSMISSION

LINEARTRONIC CVT

Friction within the transmission is reduced, improving fuel efficiency, while a vibration noise reducer is added.

The Automatic Stop Start helps produce outstanding fuel economy in combination with the Lineartronic CVT, which vastly improves both efficiency and responsiveness. New shift controls provide a lighter ride with a more linear feel, integrating with engine sound through the choice of step-less and step-shifting. This provides drivability with CVT smoothness, and a quiet ride that always stays true to driver intentions.

Lineartronic CVTs produce a nimble and pleasant ride, with no shift shock and optimal gear ratios, even on winding roads and hills. A new transmission control limits any tendency for engine speed to accelerate faster than pedal input.

Acceleration is linear with pedal input when, for example, accelerating rapidly on freeway merges.

NEW SHIFT CONTROL (CVT AND HCVT)

Transmission control, based on pedal input, between step-less and stepped gearing, improves drivability.

SIX-SPEED MANUAL MODE

Using paddle shifting, the driver can select preferred gear quickly, without taking their hands from the wheel. The result: an enjoyable, sporty, driving experience.

Choosing a six-speed configuration for normal driving allows for a wider gear step ratio, keeping the gear matched to engine rpms, with less shifting.

Operating the paddle shifters while in the D-range activates temporary manual mode. When the transmission detects that speed has become constant, it automatically returns to the D-range.

Starting from stationary in second gear is enabled. This reduces wheel spin on snow or other slippery surfaces.

TORQUE CONVERTER

New dampers capable of handling the expanded lock up range are installed, reducing fuel consumption and engine noise.

CVTF WARMER

A CVTF warmer improves fuel economy by warming up cold engines faster.

REDUCED FRICTION ITEMS

Reshaping the sound insulation cover and adding Thynsulate reduces chain noise for a quieter ride.

OIL PUMP

Using a new tooth configuration on the oil pump rotor reduces noise.

TORQUE CONVERTER

New dampers capable of handling the expanded lock up range are installed, reducing fuel consumption and engine noise.

ACTIVE TORQUE SPLIT AWD

The AWD system is electronically controlled with a multi-plate clutch (MP-T) in the transfer case, distributing torque to the rear wheels.

The Transfer Control Unit keeps base torque distribution at a 60:40 front-rear split, adjusting and distributing torque in real time for acceleration, climbing, cornering and other driving conditions. When slip is detected in the front wheels, torque to the rear wheels is increased to secure traction.

CONTROL

Improved differential speed corrections result from torque input. Speed of all four wheels, plus precision of front-rear torque distribution is improved, using steering wheel angle, yaw rate and lateral acceleration signals from the VDC system. This improves initial steering response on corner entry and enables precise control, limiting noise and optimising tight corner braking. Controls also limit wheel spin when starting from stationary on slippery surfaces, raising AWD effectiveness, for a safer feel.

REAR DIFFERENTIAL

The gear ratio for the new rear differential is fine-tuned for its debut in 3.6 litre variants with HCVT, aiding fuel economy and reliability.

BEARINGS

Low-friction bearings are installed in two locations. The hypoid gear ratio is newly set to 4.111 in 3.6 litre variants, matching HCVT applications.

SI-DRIVE

In all CVT variants, SI-Drive lets the driver select the engine and transmission characteristic to suit their desired driving style, road feel, or type of use.

Liberty 2.5i variants offer two engine characteristics,  Intelligent (I), Sports (S).

Liberty 3.6R adds Sports Sharp (S#).

They provide fun, safety and comfort for any type of vehicle use.

SI-DRIVE MODE CHARACTERISTICS

  • S# - Designed for maximum engine performance and response. Reacts to the accelerator with a direct response and acceleration feel.
  • S - Enables linear acceleration from any vehicle speed range. An all-round mode that provides ample grand touring performance.
  • INTELLIGENT - power output in response to accelerator operation is moderate, creating smooth, environmentally-friendly performance. Also enables easy handling on snow-covered or slippery surfaces. The Intelligent mode throttle characteristic is designed for low fuel consumption. The ECO gauge helps reduce fuel consumption by providing driver information on fuel-efficient driving.

ACTIVE CONTROL (CVT MODELS)

All CVT models have active control, which provides assistance to deliver the optimum pulley ratio for the driving style and environment (road surface conditions). Level of assistance is tuned to the road conditions and selected SI-Drive mode.

  • Upgrade/downgrade control - Downshifts according to gradient, ensuring stable power or engine braking. Operates in I, S, or S#.
  • Accelerator rapid release control - Interprets sudden accelerator release as intention to reduce speed, inhibiting upshift and ensuring engine braking. Operates in S and S#.
  • Braking control - Speeds the timing of downshift, ensuring drive power when accelerating after braking. Operates in S and S#.
  • Cornering control - Inhibits unneeded shifting when cornering, ensuring stable drive power. Operates in S and S#.

AUTOMATIC STOP START

The Automatic Stop Start system is new to Liberty 2.5i variants. It automatically stops the engine when the driver temporarily pulls up at red lights and junctions, improving fuel efficiency.

The engine stops after 0.5 of a second and restarts 0.35 of a second after brake release.

The feature can be cancelled with a switch.

When the hazard lights are engaged, auto stop start remains active.

STARTER

Parts such as the dedicated starter and ICR relay are newly designed for use with Auto Stop Start. The ICR relay stabilizes power supply during stops and inhibits gauges and lights from flickering.

Lineartronic CVT models have a starter with a new tandem solenoid. A mechanism absorbs rotation differences in the pinion gears connecting the motor and flywheel.

It keeps the motor and engine connected, even when engine operation doesn't stop completely, enabling change-of-mind control.

CHANGE-OF-MIND CONTROL

When the driver wants to restart the engine soon after stopping, such as at traffic lights or due to congestion, the system uses a tandem solenoid in the starter, for finely-tuned handling. The lag time is greatly shortened to provide change-of-mind control, enabling engine restarts within 0.2 second.

SUBSIDIARY POWER SUPPLY

When the engine is restarted after an idling stop, the subsidiary power supply reduces voltage from the starter operation, stabilizing power to loads such as the navigation system and interior lights.

DEDICATED BATTERY

The Auto Stop Start system has its own long-life battery.

SPECIAL RING GEAR

A special ring gear engaged by the starter pinion reduces vibration and noise when engine starting.

MULTI-FUNCTION DISPLAY (MFD) OF AUTOMATIC STOP START INFORMATION - LIBERTY 2.5i AND 2.5i PREMIUM

To give the driver a visual display of the function, the MFD displays a count of the engine stop time and the amount of fuel saved.

ELECTRIC OIL PUMP

The electric oil pump supplies oil to the forward clutch hydraulic circuit while the engine is stopped, reducing lag when restarting and clutch coupling shock when moving forward. It enables smooth, shock-free acceleration from rest after an engine stop.

OTHER AUTO STOP START FEATURES

The electric power steering is turned off when the engine is stopped, reducing electric energy waste.

A new sensor is added to the air-conditioner, ensuring a comfortable cabin environment while improving fuel economy.

CHASSIS AND BODY

The chassis suppresses roll, giving Liberty ride quality and driving performance ahead of many rivals. Among the changes, chassis rigidity and hub bearing diameter are increased, and steering assist optimized.

BODY

Crash safety performance is improved using high-strength materials and changes to the body structure.

Body rigidity improvements have enhanced steering stability and ride quality, as well as reducing vibration and noise.

The body is higher quality and quieter, with a better exterior finish.

Aerodynamic performance and fuel economy are further improved by optimizing the under body configuration and wheel air flaps.

FHI engineers focused on:

  • Crash safety performance
  • Body rigidity and steering stability
  • Quality feel - including reduced vibration, noise and enhanced airtightness
  • Environmental performance - reduced weight and improved aerodynamics.

Torsional rigidity is improved around 167 per cent in Liberty, aiding steering stability, ride comfort, vibration noise and durability.

The cradle and front suspension mounts are stiffened, restricting body deformation from front suspension input. This quickens vehicle response to steering wheel input.

Local rigidity is increased at suspension-vehicle connection points, limiting vibration transmission.

Overall body torsional rigidity is improved with rear-end body and new floor stiffening components. Damping for road vibrations from tyres and suspension is quickened.

Body panel parts are thickened and sound insulation expanded and added, reducing noise. Outer panel gap is reduced too.

The toe board, rear wheel apron, front seat under panel, floor panels and other panel components through which external sounds can enter, are all thickened. Insulation dividing the engine and passenger compartments is enlarged too.

To increase airtight sealing in the cabin and throughout the vehicle, insulation is installed in the body frame, eliminating unneeded holes and gaps, and reducing noise.

Space between the bonnet and front wings, wings and body panels, and boot lid and rear wings, is reduced for better panel surface continuity, improving exterior appearance.

WEIGHT REDUCTION

Hot pressing and 980 MPa metals are used for the body frame, counterbalancing the mass increase due to impact performance and rigidity.

Rear bumper beams, front and centre pillars are hot pressed.

The aluminium bonnet greatly reduces weight, by around 7 kg, as well as optimizing front-rear weight distribution.

The front beams are made of roll-formed high tensile steel that achieves the same strength as hot-pressing.

New engine mounts and spring characteristics are tuned for improved noise vibration, steering stability performance, and ride comfort.

Straight line stability and steering response is improved too.

A transmission cross member with closed cross-section helps reduce floor vibrations on CVT models.

PROPELLER SHAFT

The propeller shaft has a collapsible structure, enhancing safety in heavy collisions. It reduces the force of impact, without interfering with the engine moving backward.

Vibrations and noise are reduced too, for a quieter, more comfortable ride.

HUB

Hub bearings are larger with a 114.3 mm Pitch Centre Diameter (PCD) for increased rigidity. An inner seal prevents inflow of muddy water into the bearings, for better reliability and reduced rotation resistance, improving fuel economy.

STEERING

Steering provides an accurate, natural feel, using an integrated electro-mechanical Electric Power Steering system (EPS), which is light weight and compact, with high output.

Among the changes:

  • New tie rod ends
  • Universal joints phased to neutral
  • Steering wheel redesigned
  • Steering wheel and column rigidity increased

ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS)

All models have integrated electro-mechanical EPS. Motor output is improved for better performance and quality. Tie rod rigidity is optimized for better vehicle turn-in.

This also helps decrease driver fatigue, by reducing the need for corrective steering when cornering. Universal joints are phased to neutral, limiting differences between the force required to steer left and right, for a smooth feel.

Quickening of the steering gear ratio improves vehicle turn-in under normal use.

STEERING WHEEL

Steering wheel metal core rigidity is increased by 13 per cent, for a more solid feel.

STEERING COLUMN

The steering column is newly configured for more rigidity, retaining some aluminium material. Weight is reduced by 15 per cent while maintaining a quality feel.

ADDITION OF THE INFLATOR DAMPER FEATURE

A dynamic rubber-floating inflator damper is added to the structure of the driver's seat airbag, reducing vibrations in a wider frequency range.

SUSPENSION

New front struts and rear shock absorbers are finely tuned, providing balance between steering stability and ride quality. Better ride quality results from reduced flutter, low-frequency and floor vibration, and further improved straight-line stability and quietness. Driving performance is also aided by improved yaw/lateral G responsiveness, roll, and risk aversion abilities.

FRONT SUSPENSION

Steering vibration is reduced through refinements including knuckle arm diameter increase and liquid-sealed front bushings. Reducing road noise, the surface of the front strut mount that contacts the body is thickened, restricting vibration and providing high quality steering feel.

Front stabilizer bar linkage is changed from the control arms, directing strut mounts for greatly improved roll stiffness. Spring characteristics of the front strut mounts are changed, improving the damper's efficiency, producing a flexible, more stable ride quality that limits rough bumps, with no uncomfortable swinging. Stabilizer bar diameter is cut from 26 mm to 21 mm for a significant weight reduction.

Flexural rigidity for front control arms in the lateral direction and front struts is maintained, while front bushing characteristics are optimized, improving suspension (tread and camber) rigidity and limiting lag in vehicle response to steering input.

Revising the rear bushing axle layout to move front-to-back instead of vertically minimizes the outer diameter of sealed bearings. Light and compact aluminium extrusions are used for brackets.

The overall result is a vehicle that is more flexible with road input - and more linear with driver input.

REAR SUSPENSION

Body torsional rigidity is greatly improved by laterally extending subframe rear supports, to add body connection points. Floor and seat vibration is reduced, for quality ride comfort.

The rear shock absorber ABS mount on the lateral arm is moved outward 10 mm for improved damper efficiency. Also, the ends of the rear stabilizer bar are moved outward 6 mm, optimizing link placement. Springs for the rear shock absorber mount are optimized to reduce damper friction. Efficient exertion of damping forces allows the suspension to flexibly dodge road input, for a stable ride.

SUPERIOR RISK AVERSION PERFORMANCE

Wheel alignment is recalibrated with an additional initial toe-in and negative camber. This makes tyres manoeuvrable enough to make quick lateral moves and solid responses to sudden steering input.

Subframe bushings are hardened to restrict coupled vibration in vertical and longitudinal directions. This improves steering response and reduces jolts in the cabin, balancing risk aversion performance and stable ride comfort.

Improving ride quality, rear subframe supports are reshaped and given a more effective design, reducing floor and seat vibrations.

To produce a flatter, more stable ride, rear damper leverage ratio is reduced by moving the lateral arm rear damper mount. Also, the rear stabilizer bar leverage ratio is changed by moving the mount point. The springs of the rear shock mounts are recalibrated to improve roll recovery too.

Improving vehicle steering response, alignment settings are optimised and initial toe-in added.

Subframe bushings are recalibrated to reduce floor and seat vibration, improve steering response and roll recovery.

STABLEX-RIDE SYSTEM (FRONT STRUT, REAR SHOCK ABSORBER)

A new valve (STABLE-Ride) configuration and larger diameter front strut cylinders (up from 32 mm to 34 mm) improve damping response at low piston speeds and permit damping suppression at high piston speeds, for even better steering stability and ride quality, with less body shake.

Newly developed valves and larger diameter front strut cylinders are used to finely tune the balance between steering stability and ride quality.

TYRES AND WHEELS

New tyres greatly increase driving performance and reduce rolling resistance, without increasing vibration noise or impacting ride quality.

The new tyres are:

  • 225/50R18 95W SP SPORT MAXX050 Dunlop

Along with the increased hub bearing size, all models have a 114.3 mm Pitch Centre Diameter (PCD) and improved rigidity, for steering stability and ride comfort benefits. Aerodynamic performance improves fuel economy too.

BRAKES

Brake performance combines responsiveness, control and a solid feel, producing reliable, predictable results.

They have reduced resistance from brake drag for improved fuel efficiency.

Among the changes are:

  • A high response brake booster
  • Brake feel improved
  • Booster output characteristics changed in line with vehicle class and character

The high response brake booster produces a linear brake pedal feel. For even better reliability and safety, response is improved, even under sudden braking.

Pedal responsiveness is dramatically improved by reducing the channel resistance of air being supplied to the booster when the pedal is depressed.

FRONT BRAKES

The 17-inch front brakes on Liberty 3.6R have a Teflon PTFE coating on the pad clips, with reduced drag for better fuel efficiency. Rotor thickness is 30 mm.

The 16-inch front brakes on Liberty 2.5i variants have enhanced heat capacity, with larger 26 mm rotors and increased brake pad area.

REAR BRAKES

The rear brake system has a built-In electronic parking brake (EPB) in the calliper, clasping the brake pad with motor power to ensure hold. Locating the EPB in the calliper makes the system quieter and more responsive.

The parking cable is driven by a pull-type actuator and braking force is retained by drum brake.

Operating the EPB switch drives the motor, either applying or releasing the parking brake. Pulling the switch applies the brake, pushing releases it.

Accelerator-linked operation automatically releases the EPB when the system judges the driver is accelerating forward.

Liberty 2.5i variant rear brakes are now ventilated.

HILL HOLDER

When the Hill Holder is turned on and the vehicle is stopped on a hill, the system automatically applies the EPB, preventing it rolling backward. Applying throttle releases the brake.

STAYING STOPPED WITH EYESIGHT ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

Applying and releasing the EPB when in Adaptive Cruise Control keeps the vehicle stopped in a traffic jam for improved safety.

SAFETY

Liberty continues a long-establish and independently recognised trend for ever-evolving occupant safety.

Superb preventative safety and fatigue reduction features are significantly evolved with new generation EyeSight.

Liberty's passive safety has already received top ratings in independent assessments overseas.

Active safety features offer superior, world-class risk aversion and an increased sense of security in the medium sedan category. Specifically, improved chassis and VDC performance further highlight excellent AWD ability.

New generation EyeSight offers enhanced stereo camera performance, for better collision avoidance, giving drivers even more peace-of-mind, while helping reduce fatigue.

The body frame is further refined through strategic use of high tensile steel plating to increase frontal, side and rear crash safety, while limiting weight increase.

ACTIVE SAFETY

In addition to moving the A-pillar forward, quarter windows are installed at the pillar bases, along with door-mounted side mirrors. This eliminates blind spots around the mirrors and increases glass area, making it easier to notice pedestrians, vehicles and other obstacles, especially on turns. It also helps improve cabin lighting.

REVERSING CAMERA

Reversing vision is even better, with inclusion of an ultra wide-angle, 160 degree rear-view camera, for improved field of vision. The camera is positioned within 60 mm of the vehicle's centre, producing an accurate monitor display.

When the CVT gear shift position is changed from R to D, a seven-second delay can be programmed before the rear-view image disappears. The image is cleared when the P-range activates, or the vehicle speed exceeds 8 km/h.

VISIBILITY IN BAD WEATHER

In EyeSight-equipped models, the number of washer nozzles is increased from two to three, improving windscreen cleaning performance.

VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)

New parts are used in the VDC unit for improved dynamic performance, increasing limit performance during hazard avoidance.

Active Torque Vectoring (ATV) contributes to improved limit performance when turning.

VDC constantly monitors vehicle movement. It flexibly controls the Antilock Brake System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS, engine and brake LSD control), and VDC (engine and brake control for side slip prevention).

Intervention timing is optimized to ensure highly stable control.

Torque reduction control of VDC and TCS can be cancelled using OFF mode. This makes it easier to negotiate muddy and snowy surfaces.

Control logic is effective in hazard avoidance, by slowing the vehicle when the driver makes an abrupt steering input. This is integrated to provide world-class danger avoidance capability.

VDC is also tuned for towing with the genuine Subaru towbar.

ACTIVE TORQUE VECTORING (ATV)

ATV is introduced to improve cornering performance and vehicle steering response.

While cornering, brake is applied to inside wheels, while distributing less torque to them; but more torque to outside wheels.

PASSIVE SAFETY

To reduce the prospect of pedestrian head injuries, the bonnet incorporates a shock-absorbing crushable structure.

Hot pressed and high strength materials are used in the centre pillar area, helping reduce weight and improve safety.

Materials such as 980 MPa high-tensile steel and hot-pressed high-strength reinforcing members are used around the front doors, achieving cabin strength that withstands impacts in a variety of collisions.

Sheet metal assembly, joining the bottom of the A-pillar to the floor members, increases resistance to impact loads.

The nose cone structure aids pedestrian protection. The structure is designed to dislodge the headlights during a collision, providing better protection.

SEATS AND SEAT BELTS

The seats are designed to provide both high quality ride comfort and safety.

All seats have three-point Automatic Emergency Locking Retractors (AELR) and pretensioners.

SRS AIRBAGS

Every variant has dual front, side, curtain and driver's knee airbags.

The front seat twin-chamber side airbags divide for the chest and hips. The hip airbag inflates at high pressure to support the hard pelvis, while the chest airbag inflates at lower pressure, safely supporting the soft ribs.

Curtain airbag performance is enhanced by use of a centralized inflator. It is positioned at the rear of the B-pillar, providing uniform gas distribution to the front and rear, achieving stable airbag deployment. Replacing sheet metal components with plastic reduces the mechanism weight by nearly 45 per cent.

The Airbag Sensing System comprises an ECU positioned in the centre of the vehicle, linked to front left and right sensors, and left and right side sensors.

NEW GENERATION EYESIGHT

The EyeSight driver-assist system includes multiple improvements and two new functions, to help drivers potentially avoid collisions, or reduce damage.

The stereo camera is completely remodelled, achieving better active safety and less driver load.

Both wide angle and distance range are improved around 40 per cent.

NEW FEATURES

  • Colour recognition - can now see and interpret brake lights
  • Pre-Collision Steering Assist - augmented collision prevention, using Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC). If the possibility of collision with a vehicle or obstacle in front occurs, VDC activates to assist the driver in potentially avoiding it.

IMPROVED FEATURES

  • Pre-Collision Braking - augmented with braking assistance
  • Adaptive Cruise Control - improved performance when a vehicle cuts in front of the car during traffic jams and on highways. includes four levels of inter-vehicle distance setting.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS

External sensor and 3D image processing performance are improved, for easier recognition of lateral and distant vehicles, stabilizing control in all speed zones and improving pedestrian pre-collision detection.

Logic Improvements contribute to better system operation, helping maintain performance in bad weather conditions.

STRUCTURAL REVISIONS

Cameras are positioned closer to the windscreen to reduce cabin intrusion.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Pre-Collision Braking
  • Pre-Collision Braking Assist
  • Pre-Collision Steering Assist
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Front Vehicle Start Alert

EYESIGHT PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC)

Performance is improved by expanded recognition range to the left and right, as well as distant wide range. Adaptive performance is enhanced when another vehicle cuts-in during traffic jams and on highways.

Engine, transmission, and braking are controlled based on information absorbed about the speed and distance of the vehicle ahead. Speed and inter-vehicle distance set by the driver are automatically maintained. Tracking is possible in a wide speed range between around 0-100 km/h. By maintaining adequate speed for automatic braking, stress-free tracking is achieved, even on urban roads when speed reduction of the vehicle ahead may be significant.

Operation may not be as expected depending on road, weather and vehicle conditions.

The supported speed range is 0-145 km/h.

DECELERATION CONTROL BY RED/BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATION

Brake response is increased by recognition of a moving vehicle further away, providing a greater sense of safety. EyeSight now also has the ability to recognize red brake lights, enabling smooth deceleration and acceleration.

When ACC is set, red brake lights are recognized at intersections too. A lane change or other manoeuvre by a vehicle ahead that enters EyeSight's field of view, triggers an alert, while simultaneously inhibiting acceleration to the set speed.

EXPANSION OF PRE-COLLISION BRAKING CONTROL OPERATION RANGE

Expansion of vehicle recognition range to the left and right, as well as distant wide range, helps improve pre-collision brake performance when EyeSight "locks-on" to objects, ranging from cars and bikes to pedestrians.

Both wide angle and distance range are improved around 40 per cent.

When the system recognizes the possibility of collision with a vehicle or an obstacle ahead, it issues an inter-vehicle distance warning to the driver, to perform avoidance operations. If avoidance input is not detected, automatic braking is activated to lower the speed, helping avoid collision or reduce damage.

PRE-COLLISION BRAKING ASSIST

This reinforces braking force if EyeSight judges it is inadequate when the possibility of collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead is recognized. For example, if abrupt braking is detected, automatic braking assist activates. This helps avoid collision or reduce damage.

UNINTENDED START PREVENTION

If an obstacle is detected in front of the vehicle, this restricts sudden movement by unintended depression of the accelerator, providing a warning display and sound.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

If there is a possibility of lane departure while driving, a warning display and sound alert the driver.

SWAY WARNING

If the system detects vehicle sway - often due to driver fatigue, inattentive driving, or cross wind - a warning display and sound occur. This feature works above approximately 38 km/h.

NOTIFICATION OF VEHICLE IN FRONT MOVING

If the EyeSight-equipped vehicle does not move when the vehicle in front sets off, a warning display and sound occur.

CONVENTIONAL CRUISE CONTROL

When conventional cruise control is selected, the vehicle travels at a constant speed and tracking is not performed by EyeSight's stereo cameras.

NEW EYESIGHT DISPLAY

New generation EyeSight features four levels of inter-vehicle distance setting (previously only three). The display of the driver's own car appears when ACC is turned on. The system features a large 5-inch LCD display.
