Sydney, 18 April 2024 – Škoda Australia has won the coveted Roy Morgan Car Manufacturer of the Year Award for the second year running as part of the renowned customer research company’s annual Customer Satisfaction Awards.
Roy Morgan surveys approximately 60,000 Australians annually – as the world’s largest ongoing single source survey – and interviews are conducted on a weekly basis.
The winner for the calendar year is the organisation that has achieved the most months with a number one ranking for Customer Satisfaction, of which Škoda took out 10 monthly wins in the automotive category to win the Car Manufacturer of the Year award in 2023.
Škoda also came second outright across 30 categories and 280 brands, and was the only car manufacturer in the top 10 for the ‘best of the best’ award.
Škoda Australia director Michael Irmer thanked loyal customers the country over for their vote of confidence in the ‘Simply Clever’ brand.
“We are grateful for each of our Škoda customers, and are humbled by their positive response in both the 2022 and now 2023 Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards,” Mr Irmer said.
“Škoda pursues a philosophy of value beyond simply the purchase price, and our team have endeavoured to look at every aspect of the ownership experience. From the implementation of a 7 Year Warranty, attainable servicing plans, transparent finance rates and guaranteed future value, all in addition to the ‘more metal for your money’ a Škoda buyer will appreciate,” he added.
“We will use this back-to-back customer satisfaction award win as our ‘north star’ to remain as customer focused as ever as we launch all-new models and our first electric vehicle this year.”
Škoda will launch the upgraded Kamiq in June, a new entry variant for the Fabia and upgraded Scala in July, and the upgraded Octavia during the fourth quarter of 2024. The first Enyaq battery electric vehicle (BEV) and SUV range, plus new generations of the Kodiaq large seven-seat SUV and Superb liftback and wagon are also being readied for launch in 2024/25.
