Sydney, Wednesday August 9, 2017 – ŠKODA's fast family sedan and wagon range receives more power and enhanced specification in the Model Year 18 upgrade in showrooms this month.
Upgrades include a higher tune of the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine; standard fitting of the previously optional Black Pack; standard 9.2 inch media screen and – for the first time – the options of Blind Spot Detection and Adaptive Chassis Control.
Both the liftback-style sedan and the wagon run the 169kW/350Nm version of the turbo petrol engine driven through either a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG auto.
There is the option of a 135/380Nm turbo diesel with DSG.
Full specification can be seen on the attached document.
The great majority of RS variants sell with both available option packs.
The optional Tech Pack includes: 9.2" touch screen Columbus satellite navigation system (including USB, AUX and 2× SD card slot (8 speakers); full LED headlights with Adaptive Frontlight System; Automatic Parking Assist (Front parking sensors standard for RS); Adaptive Chassis Control; Advanced Keyless Entry including Smart Start (KESSY) and Alarm; Premium German Canton sound system (10 speakers, digital equaliser); personalisation via key and Driving Mode Selection.
The optional Luxury Pack includes: leather/Alacantara appointed seat upholstery with red stitching; electrically-adjustable driver and passenger seat, driver seat with memory function; Lane Assist; Side Assist - Blind Spot Detection; Heated front and rear seats; plus two Airbags (nine total); Passenger Protect Assist; and auto folding dimming door mirrors with environmental lights.
The RS range is enhanced in November with the permanent addition of the RS245. Its 180kW version of the 2.0-litre turbo petrol four is driven through either a six-speed manual or seven-speed wet clutch DSG and a limited slip differential.
The full RS range is expected to comprise more than half of all Octavia sales.
ŠKODAs come with a five year, unlimited kilometer warranty.
