Suzuki Australia has brought fun and excitement into the lives of many Australians for the past 40 years. We care deeply about the community and the impact COVID-19 is having on us all.
In these challenging and unprecedented times, we are all forced to rethink our approach to business. Understandably, many have a heightened level of concern right now, and we want to reassure you that Suzuki Australia is acting decisively, in accordance with the best advice, to protect our valued customers and staff.
The health and safety of our customers and staff is always our top priority. As a result we have implemented measures so confidence can be maintained, ensuring the fun and enjoyment of the Suzuki brand can continue at all levels from our supply chain to our dealership experience.
Many dealerships have taken extraordinary precautions to ensure confidence from the wider community that the purchase of a new car, vehicle service or parts delivery can continue. The measures taken include:
- increased frequency of facility cleaning, and disinfecting, hand sanitisers in place throughout each dealership;
- not permitting staff to attend work when unwell, staff refraining from personal contact such as shaking hands; and
- requesting customers practice good respiratory hygiene by covering their mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing at all times.
Michael Pachota – General Manager, Automobiles says "The Suzuki Australia dealer network is second to none in the industry and resilient when it comes to extreme circumstances that need to be overcome. We are proud of the dealer network and will continue to support it in all ways to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers and teams."
"Our supply chain remains strong. Rest assured, Suzuki Australia will continue to work closely with all our partners to ensure stock and parts are available."
"Clear communication is important in these rapidly changing times. We are actively monitoring advice from the World Health Organisation and the Australian Federal and State governments to ensure we can adapt accordingly, and we will keep our Dealer Network and customers updated about any further actions taken."
"The team at Suzuki Australia are here to help and we are committed to keeping our customers and staff safe. By looking after each other, we will get through this – it's the only way." Said Pachota.
