Some of world's most prestigious classics are looking for new garages at Shannons current Timed Online Winter Auction that closes on August 9.
The advantage of these beauties being local and available for viewing adds to their appeal and avoids the extra costs of sometimes bringing these cars in from overseas.
Amongst the standout vehicles in the auction are eight elegant Bentley and Rolls-Royce models dating from 1923-1996, including a fabulous 1925 Bentley 3 Litre 'Speed Model' Red Label Tourer, that would be the pride of many collectors' garages.
Ticking all the boxes, the rare vintage Bentley is an older restoration presented in lovely condition. It is expected to appeal to International Bentley collectors and command a selling price in the $330,000-$380,000 range.
Other desirable Bentleys in the auction are headed by a highly-collectible 1957 Bentley S1 Continental Coupe that was originally purchased by a Greek ship owner associated with the Onassis family and has a well-known history since.
This fine example of a rare, globally respected and highly collectible classic that is on many enthusiasts' list is expected to sell for $280,000 - $330,000.
A lovely Australian-delivered 1950 Mark VI Saloon showing 74,771 miles on its odometer at the time of cataloguing is expected to sell for $30,000 - $40,000); a desirable Australian-delivered 1993 Turbo R Saloon uniquely specified with bespoke features and now showing just 127,533km at the time of cataloguing has a guiding range of $60,000 - $70,000, while a rare Mulliner-enhanced 1996 Turbo R Saloon offered with 'no reserve' that has benefited from more than $20,000 spent on a 2016 refresh is quoted at $60,000 - $80,000.
The more desirable of the two Pre-War Rolls-Royces in the auction is a 1923 40/50 Silver Ghost 'Park Ward' Saloon offered from a deceased estate.
The car has benefitted from an older restoration, but because of its importance as a pivotal model in Rolls-Royce history is an unusual and highly-desirable vintage collectible that should sell for up to $200,000.
Alternatively, for those seeking a rewarding challenge, there is a once-magnificent 1934 Rolls Royce 20/25 Saloon now in 'Project' condition that has had just four owners from new and is now ripe for restoration. It is expected to sell for $20,000 - $30,000.
