• Peugeot to launch three all-new commercial vehicles in Australia
• Range to feature Peugeot Partner, Peugeot Expert and Peugeot Boxer vans
• Australian segment first with standard Autonomous Emergency Brake, Reverse Camera and Rear Parking Sensors standard across all vans
• All vans will carry a substantial five-year, 200,000 kilometre warranty

Peugeot will launch three all-new commercial vehicles in Australia, with each featuring high levels of standard safety specification, including the first vans to market featuring Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB) range-wide as standard. 

The fitment of AEB as standard will also be backed up by standard reverse camera and parking sonar across the entire Peugeot commercial vehicle portfolio.

All Peugeot vans will feature a minimum of four airbags as standard, with driver and passenger airbags complimented by either a side curtain, or thorax airbags.

The vans will also be supported by a substantial five-year, 200,000 kilometre warranty.

The all-new van line-up builds off PSA Group's broad experience in Europe as the continents number one supplier of light, medium and heavy-duty vans – with one in four vans sold in Europe supplied by PSA brands.

Managing Director of Peugeot Australia, Ben Farlow said that the introduction of Peugeot's all-new van range will bring class leading standard safety and features to the segment.

PARTNER – The perfect partner for your business

Opening the all-new van offerings, and launching in quarter three of 2019, will be the Peugeot Partner, a van that arrives with a cargo area full of International awards.

All-new Partner, available in two body lengths, is built on a version of the EMP2 platform that underpins Peugeot's highly awarded passenger car and SUV portfolio.

This tried-and-tested base enables shorter overhangs and a small turning circle for easy manoeuvring: the kerb to kerb turning radius is only 10.82m for the standard-length van and 11.43m for the long-body version.

The payload is one of the best in the segment, with load capacity of up to 1000kg, and a cargo area of up to 4.4m3 - depending drivetrain and body length.

Partner will launch with an array of segment leading features including:

• Segment first, standard fitment of Autonomous Emergency Braking/Active City Brake (AEB)
• Segment leading lane-departure warning, front and rear parking sonar and surround rear-vision camera and six-airbags (passenger and driver front airbag, 2x curtain and thorax airbags)
• Speed sign recognition with recommendation, paired with electronic speed limiter
• Left-side sliding doors with 180-degree barn doors rear for easy loading and unloading
• Peugeot's first LCV to feature i-Cockpit cabin design

Peugeot Partner will launch with a range of drivetrains and transmission pairings, either manual or full-fluid automatic, with details to be confirmed closer to the vehicles launch in the third quarter of 2019.

EXPERT – Need something done, ask an Expert

Launching April 2019, Peugeot's EMP2 based Expert is designed to respond to a variety of different uses and the search for efficiency by business professionals.

Available in two body lengths, all featuring three-seat configuration, the Peugeot Expert offers up-to 6.6m3 of cargo volume and up to 1300kg of payload capacity with a load length of up-to 4 metres.

The standard and long versions, at 4.95m and 5.30m respectively, are designed for the core of the light-commercial-vehicle market. Its reduced height of under two-metres, guarantees the new Peugeot Expert access to all car parks.

Expert offers several latest generation features that are rare or firsts in the segment, particularly:

• First to market, standard fitment of Autonomous Emergency Braking/Active City Brake (AEB)
• Blind-spot monitoring, reverse camera and Driver Attention Alert is a boon for business operators looking for a safe mid-size van
• Four airbags including driver and passenger airbag, along with curtain airbags to both occupants
• Safety complimented by standard fitment of dual-side sliding doors with 180-degree rear barn doors

The Peugeot Expert range will launch with three turbo-diesel drivetrains, with a range of manual, or six-speed, full-fluid automatic paired to select drivetrains.

BOXER – It punches above its weight

Rounding out Peugeot's commercial vehicle portfolio and available in the third-quarter of 2019 is Peugeot's Boxer.

Available in two body lengths and featuring over 11.5m3 (13m3 for long body) of cargo volume, with a maximum load length of 3.1-3.7m, the Boxer has been designed to ensure a high level of reliability and endurance, compatible with intensive use in service.

Like its smaller stablemates, the Boxer arrives with drivers and occupants in mind and features as standard; Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), reverse camera, rear parking sonar and four airbags (driver and passenger airbags, with thorax airbags for both occupants).

Since the vans launch in 2014 in Europe, more than four-million kilometres of testing, development and improvements have been completed in some of the most extreme conditions; covering full load, half load and empty situations, on all types of roads, including poor surfaces and mountainous areas.

Reliability and durability have also been proven through special testing, including:

• 1,500 hours at temperatures from -20°C to +40°C to ensure resistance to ageing of components and materials used in mechanical, plastic and electronic parts 
• 1,000 crossings through 10cm of water, or 3cm with saline spray, with no washing of the vehicle during the following 1,000 km, to validate the sealing and resistance to corrosion
• 500,000 door opening test cycles carried out at temperatures of –30°C to +80°C, representative of intensive use over 10 years
• The Peugeot Boxer successfully completed a test of 16,000 thermal shocks (cold starting and accelerations) corresponding to 15 years of intensive use

Furthermore, the all-new 2.0L BlueHDi diesel engine was tested for over 10,000 hours and subjected to over 1,300,000 kilometres of driving tests to prove the drivetrains capability in the real-world.
