• MG Motor Australia is thrilled to announce the return of its support of Australian Red Cross for the "Test Drive for a Difference" campaign, turning every test drive into an opportunity to support those in need.
  •  From Friday 13 December to Sunday 12 January 2025, MG will donate $10 to Australian Red Cross for every test drive of an MG vehicle conducted nationwide, with a goal to raise $20,000.

Sydney, Australia, 16 December 2024: This summer holiday period, MG Motor Australia is continuing its commitment to community support by once again teaming up with Australian Red Cross. Through the annual "Test Drive for a Difference" initiative, Australians can support communities in need while exploring MG’s range of vehicles. Each test drive at any of MG Motor's 90+ authorised dealerships contributes to helping Australian Red Cross’ work in helping communities face vulnerability, crisis and disaster in Australia and overseas. 

Since its inception in 2018, "Test Drive for a Difference" has been a cornerstone of MG Motor’s efforts to give back to the community, particularly during the holiday season when many face increased challenges such as loneliness and housing insecurity. This issue is particularly timely this year, with a new report from UNSW and Homelessness Australia revealing that ten thousand extra Australians are becoming homeless each month. 

As MG marks it’s 100 Year celebration of building memorable vehicles, they are proud to continue to support the community. Funds raised from this year’s initiative will go directly to Australian Red Cross programs providing vital resources, practical assistance, and safe spaces for vulnerable people within our community.

MG Motor Australia’s collaboration with Australian Red Cross began in 2020 with the inaugural Show & Shine competition, where MG owners across the country united to celebrate the brand's heritage and raise funds for charitable causes. Since this first competition, MG Motor Australia has donated over $100,000 to the Australian Red Cross. 

Every test drive will see MG donate $10 towards Australian Red Cross, with MG seeking to raise up to $20,000.
