Glenn Allerton and the motoridedays.com, Pirelli, BMW team has dominated round 5 of the FX series held at Winton raceway on October 6-7.

In a true case of Ride on Monday, Race on Sunday, The Hepburn Motorsports team converted their display road bike' in two days from road to race and in the process turned it into a race winning, record breaking machine.

The FX superbike class is very restrictive in its rules and only allows for a basic road bike with limited modifications to compete, rather than Glenn's full superbike's used for most of the year.

In terrible wintery conditions on Saturday, Glenn Allerton proved he is the master of wet weather riding, winning all the races in the pouring rain. The BMW S1000RR confirmed that its advanced electronics can turn a race track, even in extremely wet, flooded conditions, into a racers playground.

On Sunday a much finer day greeted the team and Glenn started it off in perfect fashion by breaking the FX superbike qualifying lap record.

In race one Glenn dominated from start to finish and set another lap record in the process.

Race two set Glenn more of a challenge with the Ducati of Chris Seaton dicing with Glenn for a few laps. This only served to inspire Glenn on to smash his earlier lap record by another half a second and pull away for a clear win.

Race 3 once again saw Glenn lead from start to finish topping off a perfect weekend.

The Hepburn Motorsports team also entered the Formula Oz class as well with the team aiming to work on their development of the Pirelli shod superbikes for the upcoming Phillip Island 8 Hour Endurance Race. To get the most from the weekend, the team also entered the new Prostock champion Linden Magee and guest rider Daniel Stauffer.

To keep the theme going the team once again dominated winning every race and setting new qualifying and race lap records.

The Pirelli shod superbikes gave a great display in both wet and dry conditions with both Glenn and Daniel under the old lap record.

Team principle Wayne Hepburn:
"What can I say; we were all witness to a masterful display of riding in all conditions by Glenn Allerton. Glenn showed me why the team at Hepburn Motorsports put everything into giving him the opportunity to dominate when we can equip him with the right tools. He is a tough bastard, crashing his head into a steel bar in the truck a minute before getting onto the bike and splitting his head open. With blood streaming through his already reddish locks, he shoved his helmet on and pushed even harder".

"Dan Stauffer was the newest addition to our growing list of riders. Although Dan hasn't raced full time for a few years, he showed that as he got more familiar with the S1000RR, that he can still run with the best, crossing the line right on Glenn's back wheel.

"A huge thank you must go to Leo Cash from Pirelli for his efforts over the weekend.

"The riders did the work on the track which left us celebrating their results; however it's the efforts of Shane Kinderis owner of "Alpine Performance" that we owe it all to". "Shane has put a lot of things to the side to give our riders the best chance against the might of the factory teams and I'm happy for him that the boys could pay him back with a dominant display of riding. A special thanks to Meagan for keeping our bunch fed "Your meals were well loved".

"I am so proud of what we achieved this weekend, the conditions on Saturday were atrocious, but to his credit Glenn gave all comers a lesson in wet weather riding in both the FX and Oz classes. His skill and seamless riding in such tricky conditions is something to behold that's for sure".

"The whole team worked so well together this weekend with such a big workload, three riders and four bikes to keep on track, the boys had to be on their feet at all times and did a fantastic job. I look forward to working with such a good crew at the 8 hour".

"The testing of the Pirelli tyres was far beyond our expectations. The tyre life is fantastic and with so much grip we have had to develop a new suspension setup. Thankfully our main man, David Kresvan from DVS suspension did the job once again and the bikes were just fantastic".

Glenn Allerton "The best way to describe Saturday is atrocious as the conditions were the worst I've seen in years. The great results on Saturday enabled the team to further develop our wet set up which we haven't had much of a chance to do all year. We're hoping that we get another wet race in before the end of the year as I feel we have the best wet set up we've had in years. It's been no secret that I've struggled getting the bike off the line which has jeopardized my competitiveness at times. This weekend we made some updates with the clutch and the bike really gets off the line well now."

"Sunday the conditions had improved dramatically and we were in for a good day of racing. I felt like I got pushed in every race and it was certainly no walk in the park as the rest of the field were also riding exceptionally well. I'm not happy about smashing my head in the back of the truck, I had blood going everywhere, the boys quickly padded my head, but my helmet filled up with blood which wasn't very good. Overall though, I was really happy with the results on Sunday achieving six race wins and breaking five lap records. I couldn't have asked for a better day."
