Subaru sales of 4265 in July mean the brand achieved the highest year-on-year growth of any top 20 automotive brand, according to official VFACTS figures released today.
Subaru sales were up 27.1% in July and 10.2% year-to-date (YTD), in an overall market up just 1.6% for the month and 0.4% YTD.
The recently launched second generation All-Wheel Drive XV led the Subaru charge with 1138 sales in its first full month on the market, up 88.1% for the month.
Also continuing its strong run was new generation Impreza, with 914 sales, up 195.8% for the month and 122.1% YTD.
Outback maintained its long run of success, with 907 sales, up 3.4% for the month and 4.4% YTD, while at the sporty end of the range BRZ sales of 62 were up 675.0% for the month and 73.1% YTD.
Subaru Managing Director, Colin Christie, said: "Customer response to our new generation cars is just phenomenal and with revised WRX, WRX STI and Levorg line-ups just revealed, we're very excited about maintaining the momentum.
"The value, specification and engineering right across the range are clear winners with Subaru customers both old and new."
Subaru's national results were reinforced by great sales regionally.
In South Australia, sales were up 59.1% for the month and 7.1% YTD, with respective market share of 6.5% (month) and 5.1% (YTD).
In Tasmania, July sales were up 114.1% and 17.7% YTD, with respective market shares of 10.0% and 8.5%.
Western Australia sales were up 41.5% in July and 12.1% YTD, with respective market share of 5.0% and 4.5%.
Victoria sales were up 37.3% in July and 25.9% YTD.
NSW sales were up 14.1% in July and 4.3% YTD, with respective market share of 4.9% and 5.0%.
And in Queensland July sales were up 13.7% and 5.4% YTD.
