The new Peugeot 307 went on sale in November 2001, and on the eve of its Australian debut was voted European 'Car of the Year 2002'.

The 307 is one of the most technologically advanced and fully equipped cars in its class. Its extensive list of standard safety, security, comfort and luxury items is unmatched in many more costly executive cars, and it offers features which mark it out as one of the most forward-looking cars on the road today.

The three door 307 XSi now offers buyers more choice when they consider the 307 range. On sale now, the Peugeot 307 XSi is based on the highly specified 2.0-litre XSE five-door model, with a 100kW engine developing 190 Nm of torque. It is available as a 5-speed manual or with an Automatic gearbox that allows drivers manual control through a Porsche Tiptronic style sequential shift.

The XSi, apart from it's three door configuration, is distinguished by the following additional features;

  • 17" Alloy Rims, shod with 205/50 tyres front and rear
  • Leather bolstered sports seats with cloth inserts
  • Leather bolstered rear seats

Along with the 2.0-litre XSE, the XSi offers outstanding levels of standard equipment and class leading safety features. Six air-bags, ABS with an Electronic Brake Force Distributor, electric windows and mirrors, climate control, fascia mounted five disc Blaupunkt radio/CD, remote central locking and engine immobiliser are only some of the items on this long list.

Ensuring comfort and convenience at all times, the XSE and the XSi also feature automatic rain sensing front wipers and automatic headlights, an air-conditioned glove box, slide out trays under the front seats, hooks and luggage net in the boot, stalk mounted audio controls and an on board computer to name a few.

The 307 XSi is on sale now, priced at $34,490 for the manual and $36,990 for the automatic.
