The Peugeot 307 – a popular choice in Australia since its launch, and one of Europe's best selling cars, now boasts an additional model in its range.

The 307 XSR is now on sale, and priced at only $29,990 it forms a mid-point in the current range, consisting of the 307 XS ($25,990) and the 307 XSE ($31,790).

Importantly for Peugeot customers, they can now own a 2.0 litre 307 for under $30,000, with exceptional levels of standard equipment.

With a bevy of standard features including six air-bags, ABS with an Electronic Brake Force Distributor, electric windows and mirrors, climate control, radio/CD, remote central locking and engine immobiliser to name but a few, the 307 XSR also has a host of practical storage compartments.

Available as a 5-speed manual or with a 'Porsche' style Tiptronic Auto gearbox, the XSR is equipped with a 100kW, 2.0 litre engine. It also is equipped with 16 inch alloy wheels, a colour keyed exterior as well as cruise control.

Rob Dommerson, Managing Director of Peugeot Automobiles Australia welcomed the new model; "The 307 XSR is set to bolster the 307 line up, in a time of increasing choice for customers in this segment. Stylish and extremely well equipped, and with a powerful 2.0 litre engine for only $29,990, the XSR represents outstanding value for money. We are confident that it will continue the 307's success story in Australia."
