The new and improved version of the Mazda3, Australia's favourite small car, has arrived into Australian showrooms.

In addition to every new Mazda3 featuring suspension enhancements and design upgrades to build on the class-leading dynamics and style for which it has become known, the all-new SP20 SKYACTIV model now introduces SKYACTIV Technology for the first time.

Featuring the new SKYACTIV-G direct injection petrol engine and SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission, the new Mazda3 SP20 SKYACTIV takes fuel efficiency and the fun-to-drive factor to the next level.

Power and torque have increased by 4.6 and 6.6 per cent respectively while fuel efficiency has improved by a huge 25.6 per cent. The new Mazda3 SP20 SKYACTIV becomes Australia's most fuel efficient petrol-powered small car with a combined cycle fuel economy of just 6.1 litres per 100km.

Priced from just $27,990, the new SP20 SKYACTIV is sure to be a popular choice. For just $3,000 more, an optional Luxury pack can be added which includes Bi-Xenon headlamps, sliding centre armrest console, leather seat trim, premium Bose 242 watt amplifier and 10 speakers including subwoofer.

The Mazda3 Neo kicks off the new Mazda3 range and while it's long been considered great value, this has now improved even further with the addition of alloy wheels and body coloured door handles alongside a price reduction of $1,000.

The ever-popular Mazda3 Maxx Sport is the next step up and combines a price reduction of $1,870 with the addition of auto on/off headlamps and front wipers with rain sensing function to ensure that it remains one of the most popular Mazda3 models.

The Mazda3 Diesel also now adds auto on/off headlamps and front wipers with rain sensing function and is priced $1,870 less than the outgoing model.

The next model to feel the benefit of both equipment upgrades and a price reduction is the SP25. Now featuring Bi-Xenon headlamps, smart keyless entry and push button start, auto on/off headlamps and wipers with rain sensing function it is now available from $31,490, significantly less than the equivalent outgoing SP25 Luxury sunroof model.

Topping the new Mazda3 range is the MPS. Auto on/off bi-Xenon headlamps with AFS, rear view mirror with auto dimming function, wipers with rain sensing function, plus a premium Bose 242 watt amplifier and 10 speakers including subwoofer have all been added for no additional cost.

With a host of upgrades under the skin alongside so many new features and competitive pricing, the new Mazda3 is sure to remain firmly on the shopping lists of Australian new car buyers.
